Restoring Your Secure Base
for Therapists Who Hold Everyone Else
A Two-Day Attachment-Focused Retreat with Linda Cundy
for Counsellors & Psychotherapists
ONLY 26 PLACES AVAILABLE

Is this retreat for you?
If you’re a counsellor, psychotherapist or therapist who spends your days holding everyone else, this is for you.
You’re the one who regulates, reflects and contains.
You’re the steady presence in the room.
But when do you get to be held?
- You can feel the quiet emotional load of the work building and know you need space to reset before it becomes exhaustion..
- You’re craving depth, not just another CPD event, but meaningful reflection that strengthens you and your practice.
- You want to be alongside other therapists who truly understand the responsibility of this work, without having to stay in your professional role.
This retreat gives you time to breathe, reflect and reconnect, so you return to your clients grounded, resourced and re-inspired.
Guest Speaker – Linda Cundy
Widely recognised for her contribution to attachment-informed psychotherapy. She is a leading figure in the development of attachment-based clinical practice and has played a significant role in integrating attachment theory into contemporary therapeutic work with adults and couples.
Linda has been actively involved in training and professional development, supporting practitioners to deepen their understanding of internal working models, relational trauma, and the therapeutic relationship as a secure base.
Her teaching style is known for being thoughtful, clear and deeply rooted in relational ethics.
Linda continues to shape attachment-informed practice both nationally and internationally through writing, speaking and mentoring.

Therapeutic work is demanding, absorbing and deeply relational.
You’re required to stay present, attuned and thoughtful, even when the work is complex, emotionally weighty, or quietly exhausting. Much of that is carried independently, often without much space to be held yourself.
Restoring the Secure Base is an attachment-based retreat created for you to pause, reflect, learn and reconnect — with yourself, with the work, and with others who truly understand what it means to sit alongside human suffering with care.
When you spend time with counsellors from different modalities and traditions, something genuinely nourishing begins to unfold. You can step out of role, soften a little, and allow yourself to be supported rather than always being the one who supports. Whether you join us for Restoring the Secure Base or one of our other retreats, you’ll be met with warmth, depth, and a sense of being held with care.
In an increasingly online world, therapeutic work can feel isolating. You may be giving so much behind closed doors, holding complexity in private rooms, and doing the quiet, invisible labour that doesn’t always have a place to land. Two days of real connection can be the tonic — restorative, uplifting, and gently rebalancing. (And yes, there’s plenty of laughter too.)
Professional isolation is a very real feature of therapeutic practice. You’re not meant to do this work alone. Shared reflection, nourishment, and renewal aren’t indulgences — they’re part of what sustains ethical, effective therapeutic work over time. We offer a space where you can breathe, be human, and return to your practice with more steadiness, clarity and support around you.

Connection and Community
Therapeutic work can feel professionally lonely. You may be working independently, with limited opportunities to think alongside peers in a relaxed, non-evaluative space.
This retreat gives you time to connect with other therapists and clinicians who genuinely understand the realities of the work – helping you feel part of a professional community that supports reflection, learning, and renewed engagement.
Connection is held thoughtfully and respectfully throughout, with clear boundaries, a strong emphasis on psychological safety, and space for you to participate at a pace that feels right.
An Attachment-Based, Ethically Grounded Approach
The retreat is grounded in attachment theory and informed by contemporary therapeutic practice, including an understanding of:
- the importance of a secure base for exploration and learning
- regulation and co-regulation within professional contexts
- boundaries, predictability and choice
- ethical self-care as a foundation for safe practice
You’ll be held within a professionally facilitated retreat offering structured reflection, learning, and supportive connection with peers.
