Attachment-Informed Therapy for Individuals and Couples (Online)

Hello and welcome — I’m Kirsty, a qualified and BACP-accredited counsellor offering online counselling and couples therapy. I support individuals and couples who want to move beyond simply surviving and begin thriving emotionally, relationally, and psychologically.

Taking the step to begin therapy is an act of courage. For many people, it marks the true beginning of meaningful change. I believe healing happens through safe, secure connection, and my aim is to offer you a therapeutic space grounded in warmth, professionalism, and trust — where your story can be explored with care and curiosity.

Together, we work to understand the roots of your experiences, make sense of repeating patterns, and support you in developing greater emotional security, self-awareness, and empowerment.

About My Counselling Practice

I provide a confidential, non-judgemental, and inclusive therapeutic space for individuals and couples navigating emotional distress, relationship difficulties, or life transitions.

My work is attachment-informed, meaning we explore how early relational experiences shape:

  • how you relate to others

  • how you see yourself

  • how you cope with closeness, conflict, anxiety, or loss

By understanding these internal “blueprints,” we can begin to gently reshape patterns that may no longer serve you.

Online Therapy

All sessions are offered via secure video call, allowing you to access consistent, professional support from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Areas of Specialism

While I work with a wide range of concerns, I have particular expertise in:

Couples Therapy & Relationship Counselling

I support couples to:

  • understand their attachment styles

  • identify and interrupt repeated cycles of conflict or withdrawal

  • rebuild trust, emotional safety, and intimacy

  • improve communication and relational resilience

Whether you are facing ongoing conflict, emotional distance, or considering whether to stay together, couples therapy offers a space to slow things down and reconnect.

Support for Women with PMDD

I offer specialist therapeutic support for women living with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD).

PMDD can have a profound impact on mood, identity, relationships, and daily functioning. Therapy can help you:

  • understand the emotional and relational impact of PMDD

  • develop compassionate, practical strategies for the luteal phase

  • reduce shame and self-blame

  • regain a sense of control, stability, and self-trust

My Integrative Therapeutic Approach

Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to you — I don’t impose solutions or follow a one-size-fits-all model.

I draw from an integrative framework, including:

  • Attachment & Psychodynamic Therapy
To explore early experiences, relational patterns, and emotional roots.

  • Transactional Analysis (TA)
To understand communication styles, relational roles, and interaction patterns.

  • CBT & Mindfulness-Based Approaches
To support anxiety, stress, low mood, and emotional regulation in the present.

  • Person-Centred Therapy
Ensuring empathy, acceptance, and respect remain central — with you as the expert in your own life.

What to Expect in Therapy

I offer a neutral, inclusive, and affirming environment, welcoming people of all backgrounds and identities. We work together to:

  • understand the origins of emotional pain or distress

  • identify and shift unhelpful relational patterns

  • build sustainable coping strategies and emotional resilience

  • strengthen self-esteem, boundaries, and self-compassion

Issues I Support Include:

  • Emotional Well-being: anxiety, stress, low mood, self-esteem

  • Relationships: attachment issues, family conflict, relationship breakdowns

  • Past & Present Pain: trauma, bereavement, loss

  • Identity & Society: racism, bullying, discrimination, disability, gender identity, faith-related concerns

The First Step: Initial Assessment Session

Your first 50-minute assessment session is a chance to:

  • explore what’s bringing you to therapy

  • clarify your goals and hopes

  • see whether we feel like a good fit

There is no obligation to continue — your sense of safety and choice is central.

If you feel ready to begin your journey toward healing, connection, and growth, I invite you to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation.
