I help people who are feeling stuck in grief and loss understand what is holding them back so that they can start to rebuild their lives again.

If you are waking up with anxious, intrusive thoughts that won’t let you switch off, getting overwhelmed by anger, or feeling laid low by depression, then I offer you time and space for you to understand yourself so that you can find your sense of calm and purpose.

How I work

I am an integrative therapist, specialising in attachment-based therapy. This means that I use different types of questions and techniques to tailor our sessions just for you. I use a range of theories, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) person-centred and attachment. I offer creative and sand tray therapy which can help you express feelings that might be difficult to put into words.

We will typically look at your history, including childhood, your thoughts and emotions to enable you to understand yourself, and re-examine your thought processes, so that you can make choices to help you feel better.

Who I support

If you’re stressed, depressed, facing a life change or loss, or need to make a major decision, it can be helpful to talk to someone outside your family and friendship circle. Sometimes acknowledging you need help can be the most difficult step.

You might be young or older – it’s never too late to discover yourself. I will work at your pace, there is no pressure. Together, we will find ways to help you to view things differently, to find new ways to cope and to make the changes in your life that you want.

I work with adults and older teenagers who are 16 plus.

Where I work

I work online and face to face. Online counselling has been shown to be just as effective as face to face counselling and offers you privacy and flexibility – I can work with you wherever you are in the UK.

What you can expect from attachment-based therapy.

Attachment therapy can help you understand why you think and feel the way you do, and how you relate to others, based on your childhood experiences. It can be helpful for navigating loss and grief, and to build your self esteem and resilience.

We will always go at your pace and you can explore your past as much or as little as you feel able to. I provide a kind, empathic and non-critical space for you to say whatever you need.

Clients often notice that they feel calmer and more able to cope with the challenges of life and loss.

Neuro diverse and gender diverse affirming therapy

I work with many neurodiverse clients, including ASD and ADHD. Whether you are diagnosed or self-diagnosed, many clients find having a space to unmask and be themselves is highly beneficial.

I am a transgender ally with lived experience, and l offer you a warm and accepting space. My pronouns are she/her.
