Grace Evans

Supervisor

I am a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with more than 25 years’ experience supporting individuals and couples through grief, life transitions, anxiety, emotional overwhelm and relationship challenges. My path into this work began long before my professional training, but losing my first husband to cancer at a young age reshaped my understanding of what it means to suffer, to heal and to keep going. That loss gave me a deep, lived insight into human vulnerability and resilience — an understanding that continues to guide my therapeutic practice today.

In my therapy work, I offer a warm, steady and compassionate space for people navigating grief, anxiety, emotional distress, relationship difficulties and the after-effects of trauma. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed and person-centred. I specialise in attachment-based therapy, helping clients explore the emotional patterns and protective strategies that developed in early relationships. We do this not to become stuck in the past, but to understand how those experiences still shape daily life, relationships and wellbeing.

Together, we work to soften old patterns, strengthen emotional resilience and build a more grounded, kinder relationship with yourself and with others. Clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed or stuck, and leave with a clearer sense of themselves, their needs and their capacity for change.

As a clinical supervisor, I provide a reflective, supportive and containing space for counsellors, psychotherapists and other helping professionals. My supervisory style balances warmth with thoughtful, constructive challenge, encouraging practitioners to deepen their clinical thinking while caring for their own wellbeing. I aim to create an environment where curiosity, connection and ethical practice can thrive.

At the heart of everything I do is a belief in the possibility of healing, even in the aftermath of profound loss or long-standing emotional difficulty. Change is rarely linear, but with the right therapeutic relationship, it becomes possible to move forward with greater clarity, confidence and compassion.
