Let’s Connect
Jan Laws
I am an integrative therapist and registered member of the BACP, specialising in Person-Centred Therapy and Attachment-Based Psychotherapy. My work focuses on helping you understand how your earliest relationships shape the way you see yourself, connect with others, and navigate the world today.
Our early attachments form the blueprint for our self-worth, our expectations of others, and the kinds of relationships we feel drawn to. When those early experiences felt unsafe, inconsistent or overwhelming, they can leave us with unmet needs, difficulty trusting ourselves, or a tendency to repeat familiar—but unfulfilling—relationship patterns.
My first priority is to build a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood and accepted without judgement. From this grounding, we gently explore your inner world, including your relationship with yourself and with others.
Together, we will notice and make sense of the patterns you repeat, understand where they come from, and explore how they impact your emotional wellbeing and relationships. By recognising how childhood attachment experiences have shaped your beliefs, fears and expectations, you can begin to create new ways of relating—both to yourself and to the people in your life.
My aim is to support you in developing a more authentic, grounded and compassionate relationship with yourself. I look forward to walking alongside you as you begin this meaningful process of healing and change.
