Attachment-Focused Counselling in Worthing
I believe that healing happens in spaces where we feel safe, seen, and truly heard. My aim is to offer that kind of therapeutic space for you — one where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. Your story and lived experience will be met with care, compassion, and respect.
I am an integrative counsellor based in Worthing, with a specialism in attachment-focused counselling. My work is grounded in warmth, collaboration, and curiosity. Together, we explore not only what is happening in your life now, but also the deeper emotional experiences that sit beneath the surface. Attachment-focused therapy is not about blaming the past. Instead, it is about making sense of it, so you can respond differently in the present.
Gently and at your pace, we can explore early experiences that may be influencing your current relationships, self-worth, and emotional wellbeing. We look at how these patterns developed and how they may be affecting your life today. This process can create space for new insight, increased self-awareness, and healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
How I Work
In our sessions, I work at your pace and in a way that feels supportive and manageable. Alongside talking therapy, I may offer creative approaches when they feel helpful. These can provide alternative ways of expressing your inner world and can help access feelings that are difficult to put into words.
Creative work might include using pens and paper, sand tray work, therapeutic cards, or symbols. There is no expectation to be “arty” — these tools are simply there to support expression, reflection, and understanding.
Neurodivergent-Affirming Counselling
I work with neurodivergent individuals (diagnosed or self-identified), including parents of neurodivergent children. I have lived experience in this area, which informs my understanding and approach. My work includes supporting people with ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, sensory sensitivities, burnout, and masking.
I am happy to make adjustments so that you feel comfortable, and I offer a flexible, respectful approach that honours your individual process.
LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy
I am passionate about offering an affirming and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ clients, welcoming all identities. Whether you are exploring gender or sexuality, or seeking support in a world that has not always felt safe, you will be met with empathy, validation, and care.
Trauma-Informed Support
I am trained in Rewind Trauma Therapy, a trauma-informed approach that can help process traumatic memories without re-traumatisation. It can be helpful for single-event trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and phobias. My wider practice is also grounded in trauma-informed principles, with an emphasis on safety, choice, and emotional regulation.
When you are ready, I am here to walk alongside you.
