Heather Peters
Supervisor
I am a therapist working in a thriving private practice, supporting both individuals and couples through a wide range of emotional, relational and life challenges.
I am also an EMDR therapist and hold a diploma in trauma, which enables me to work safely and effectively with the many symptoms and responses that trauma can bring. My work is informed by Attachment Theory, helping clients understand how early relationships shape their ability to form healthy connections, manage stress and develop a secure sense of self in adulthood.
I am trained to work with people affected by adoption, including adoptees, birth families and adoptive parents. This specialised work supports deep emotional understanding, identity formation and the complex relational experiences connected to adoption.
Alongside my therapeutic practice, I am an experienced clinical supervisor. I see supervision as a space to enhance, develop and maintain your professional skills, deepen ethical awareness and support you to work safely and confidently. I offer a reflective, supportive environment where we can explore all aspects of your practice — from clinical themes and ethical dilemmas to emotional impact and practitioner wellbeing.
I provide therapy and supervision online, by telephone and face-to-face, offering flexibility to meet your needs and circumstances.
