Looking for a Psychotherapist in Bedfordshire?

Seeking therapy can feel daunting — and finding the right therapist is an important first step. That’s why I offer a free initial consultation, giving you the opportunity to explore what you need and whether working together feels like the right fit.

I’m Annabel, a BACP-registered psychotherapist working in private practice and within educational settings across Bedfordshire. I provide a calm, supportive, and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

My approach is gentle, client-led, and relational, grounded in attachment theory and shaped by an integrative, person-centred and trauma-informed framework.

Areas I Support

I work with young people and adults who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. I offer support with:

  • Attachment difficulties and relationship patterns
  • Anxiety and emotional overwhelm
  • Bereavement, grief, and loss
  • Cultural identity and life experiences
  • Depression and low mood
  • Life transitions and change
  • Trauma and past experiences

My Approach to Therapy

My work is rooted in the belief that our early relationships shape how we experience ourselves and others. Using an attachment-based approach, I support you to explore patterns in relationships, build emotional awareness, and develop a stronger sense of safety and connection.

Therapy with me offers:

  • A safe and non-judgemental space
  • Opportunities for reflection and self-understanding
  • Support in building emotional resilience
  • Exploration of relational patterns and attachment styles
  • Gentle pacing, always led by you

Professional Background

My background is in education, where I have spent many years supporting both young people and adults as a teacher, learning mentor, and specialist mentor. I continue to work closely with SEND students and support university students with their mental health and wellbeing, both within educational settings and in private practice.

My therapeutic training began in grief and bereavement work, which remains central to my practice. This naturally led me towards attachment-based psychotherapy, as grief and attachment are deeply interconnected.

Through this work, I help clients:

  • Understand how past relationships shape present experiences
  • Process loss and emotional pain
  • Build healthier, more secure relationships
  • Develop confidence, resilience, and self-awareness

A Space for Growth and Change

I am committed to supporting you in becoming a more grounded, connected, and empowered version of yourself. Together, we can work towards building a stronger relationship with yourself and others, helping you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
