Sometimes life can leave you feeling confused, exhausted, overwhelmed or unsure of where to turn. You may be longing for change, wanting to feel more confident, or hoping to become less fearful of conflict in your personal, family or work relationships. I offer a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental counselling space where you will be met with warmth, empathy and genuine care. I am a BACP-registered integrative counsellor with over 1,000 client hours, a background in psychology, and more than ten years of training and experience. My approach combines Person-Centred Therapy, Attachment-Based Psychotherapy and trauma-informed counselling. This means our work is grounded in safety, curiosity and collaboration, helping you explore how early childhood experiences, attachment patterns, trauma, shame and relational wounds may be shaping your present-day relationships, sense of self and emotional wellbeing. Attachment-based psychotherapy invites us to gently understand how your early experiences may still be influencing the way you relate to yourself and others. Our work goes beyond simple conversation. Drawing on neurobiological and somatic-informed strategies, we can work creatively together to support your nervous system, develop a greater sense of safety, and move towards emotional recovery and meaningful change. I support clients who are healing from difficult childhood experiences, trauma, loss, shame, anxiety, low self-worth and long-standing relational patterns. I also work with people navigating the impact of mental health struggles within personal, family or workplace relationships. Alongside this, I offer support to family members who grew up with, or who care for, someone on the autistic spectrum. This work can help you make sense of the emotional impact, identity challenges, relational dynamics and responsibilities that may have shaped your own wellbeing and relationships. My specialist training includes Janina Fisher’s Complex Trauma training, Levels 1 and 2, which informs my understanding of trauma, dissociation, attachment wounds and nervous system responses. I aim to provide a steady, attuned and compassionate therapeutic relationship where insight, healing and change can develop at your pace. Whether you are seeking counselling for trauma, attachment difficulties, childhood experiences, relationship challenges, anxiety, shame, low confidence or family-related stress, therapy can offer a space to feel heard, understood and supported as you move towards a more grounded, secure and confident version of yourself.
