Counselling Clinical Supervision

Inskipp and Proctor (1995) describe supervision as:- “ a working alliance between a supervisor
and a counsellor in which the counsellor can offer an account or recording of her work;
reflect on it; receive feedback and, where appropriate, guidance.
The object of this alliance is to enable the counsellor to gain in ethical competence,

Counselling Supervision – Developing and Learning

As your supervisor it is not my role to hold all the answers and be an expert. Rather to share my own experiences and learning to suggest what might be happening in your client relationship, with the goal to provide support and a way to proceed.
